Usage for monitoring the Cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera

One of the most harmful noctuid lepidopteran pests of crops worldwide. It has particular significance in industrial, horticultural, and ornamental crops, and in Spain, its impact is especially severe on tomatoes.

A moth with a wingspan of 35-40 mm, which attacks a wide range of crops such as: tomato, pepper, corn, broccoli, tobacco, and cotton. It can attack many others as well.

Generations: typically, it has three generations per year, although this can increase depending on climatic conditions.

Damage: the caterpillar attacks leaves, stems, and shoots, although the most significant damage consists of the destruction of flowers and perforations in the fruits. This facilitates the entry of fungi and other pests that cause rot.

CONTROL MANAGEMENT

The use of pheromones in pest monitoring allows for understanding their distribution and population density, facilitating early detection in crops. This enables the establishment of capture thresholds to implement control measures.

The product ARMILAB is a septum with sex pheromone for monitoring the flight of H. armigera.

The emission duration of ARMILAB is 45-50 days (7 weeks).

APPLICATION

Placement of: 3 funnel traps per hectare

1 capsule per funnel trap.

Very important, do not open the vial.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Refrigerator or freezer for 2 years from the date of manufacture.
